Nicky Rudd – Managing Director

Padua Communications was set up by Nicky Rudd, a senior PR professional who has worked in PR for 15 years and who was recently shortlisted for a PRCA award by her peers.

Nicky has a host of PR skills including strategy creation and implementation, branding, copywriting, reviews programmes, media liaison and social networking, together with other skills in the marketing mix including media training, event management, speech writing and conference organisation.

In her PR career to date, Nicky has worked on consumer and business to business campaigns for large and smaller companies in a range of markets including IT, consumer and business electronics, telecoms, security, education, prepress and print, B2B marketing, homeopathy and massage, online dating, photography and networking. Nicky also has experience of working with clients within vertical markets including HR, personnel, finance and public sector.

Nicky has also worked in TV production with a charity, The Media Trust, making several TV programmes for the BBC’s Learning Zone. She has worked at BBC Radio Northampton, where she was responsible for producing and presenting several programmes.

A keen volunteer, Nicky has run the London Marathon for the British Heart Foundation, the Great South Run for Marie Curie Cancer Care and she is currently a Trustee for City YMCA, which provides a range of services to young people in London to support them in their transition into adulthood.

Nicky has a BA Hons degree from Southampton University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the Institute of Education at London University. Prior to working in PR, Nicky was a secondary school English and Media Studies teacher.

Nicky is an associate of The PR Network and a mentor for the Media Trust's youth mentoring scheme.
